Persistent current of SU(N) fermions

چکیده
We study the persistent current in a system of SU($N$) fermions with repulsive interaction confined ring-shaped potential and pierced by an effective magnetic flux. By applying combination Bethe ansatz numerical analysis, we demonstrate that, as combined effect spin correlations, interactions applied flux specific phenomenon can occur system: spinon creation ground state. As consequence, peculiar features arise. The elementary quantum, which fixes periodicity, is observed to evolve from single particle one extreme case fractional quantum shared all particles. show that depends on number components $N$, particles way certain physical regimes has universality traits. At integer filling fractions, suppressed above threshold Mott spectral gap. Despite its mesoscopic nature, displays clear finite size scaling behavior. Specific parity effects landscape hold.

Acoustoelectric current for composite fermions
The acoustoelectric current for composite fermions in a two-dimensional electron gas ~2DEG! close to the half-filled Landau level is calculated in the random phase approximation. The Boltzmann equation is used to find the nonequilibrium distribution of composite fermions to second order in the acoustic field. It is shown that the oscillating Chern-Simons field created by the induced density flu...
متن کاملSuperconducting persistent-current qubit
We present the design of a superconducting qubit that has circulating currents of opposite sign as its two states. The circuit consists of three nanoscale aluminum Josephson junctions connected in a superconducting loop and controlled by magnetic fields. The advantages of this qubit are that it can be made insensitive to background charges in the substrate, the flux in the two states can be det...
متن کاملJosephson persistent-current qubit
A qubit was designed that can be fabricated with conventional electron beam lithography and is suited for integration into a large quantum computer. The qubit consists of a micrometer-sized loop with three or four Josephson junctions; the two qubit states have persistent currents of opposite direction. Quantum superpositions of these states are obtained by pulsed microwave modulation of the enc...
متن کاملPersistent current in superconducting nanorings.
The superconductivity in very thin rings is suppressed by quantum phase slips. As a result, the amplitude of the persistent current oscillations with flux becomes exponentially small, and their shape changes from sawtooth to a sinusoidal one. We reduce the problem of low-energy properties of a superconducting nanoring to that of a quantum particle in a sinusoidal potential and show that the dep...
متن کاملCURRENT TOPIC Persistent infant crying
at about 6-8 weeks, following which there is a rapid decline. At two months, average total fuss and crying times of 2-21⁄212 hours/24 hour day have been reported by the three studies. Prolonged crying is common at this early stage, with 29% of Northamptonshire infants crying for three or more hours a day during the first three months, declining to roughly 7-10% thereafter.6 (2) Rates of materna...
